Intercooler Pipe Notes

Aftermarket turbos do not include integral BOV's like the stock one.  The most common practice is to mount an aftermarket BOV (see All Car: BOV-MISC-TOOLS page) on the Upper Intercooler Pipe before the throttle body.  Expect noise as the BOV vents into the engine compartment instead of into the turbo intake. If using the stock turbo, you will also need to remove and block off the stock BOV with our BOVF-PTA

The stock air box interferes with the aftermarket BOV mounted on the new Upper IC Pipe, so you will need an open element type Intake Pipe also. You will also need a vent filter for the Valve Cover like our VCV-PTA. Expect noise as the air rushes in during acceleration.

UIP-PTB

This 2 1/2"dia mandrel bent steel pipe replaces the stock hose and hard plastic pipe section down past the 90deg curved section.    Includes three SS hose clamps and rubber TB coupling. a flat boss is welded on to accept the MAP sensor and includes boost pressure nipple. Gasket and hardware included with 1gDSM Flange (other BOV's come with hardware)

This lower pipe connects from the intercooler to UIP-PTA.  Made from 2.5"dia mandrel bent tubing and includes couplers and clamps.  To install: remove battery, tray and bracket, install & reassemble.
